Your experience could help another pup feel less alone.
Pup play is experienced differently by every pup. Some discover it through gear. Others find their way in through headspace, friendship, events, roleplay, or simply having the freedom to stop overthinking and play.
We have shared plenty of guides, but we want more of the community itself to be represented here. We want to hear from pups, handlers, trainers, and community organisers with something useful, funny, honest, or encouraging to share.
Introducing Pup Spotlight
We are planning a series of Pup Spotlight articles created with people from across the pup-play community.
A spotlight could introduce your pup identity, share part of your journey, explore something you have learned, or offer practical advice to pups who are still finding their way.
You do not need to be an expert or a well-known community figure. You only need something genuine you would like to share.
What could you talk about?
- How you discovered pup play
- What helped you find your pup identity
- Your experience of headspace
- Advice for someone attending their first event
- Gear lessons you learned through experience
- Training or handling ideas
- A mistake that taught you something useful
- How the community helped you feel more comfortable
- A funny or memorable pup-play moment
You can also suggest something completely different.
How it works
- Put your paw up using the short form below.
- Tell us briefly who you are and what you might like to share.
- If it feels like a good fit, Ryan will contact you with a short questionnaire.
- We will shape your answers into a draft feature.
- You will review and approve the feature before anything is published.
You can participate using your pup name. We will never require your legal name to appear publicly. If photographs are involved, we will ask for separate permission before using them.
A little thank-you
Contributing takes time, and good pups deserve a thank-you. If we invite you to take part, we will explain the thank-you reward before you agree.
Interested?
Whether you have years of experience or are still figuring out what kind of pup you are, we would love to hear what you might want to share.
